Forged internals
Are they only needed for going FI or would I need them at a certain n/a power level

you only need them when running high boost from a turbo, supercharger and sometimes nitrous

it all depends on how you build it, theres different types that can and cant add hp

Basically if you replace your stock parts w/ identical forged internals - No HP gains

If you replace your internals with stock specs (which isn't likely to happen) then your power increase will be negligable.
But since you have to bore/hone out cylinder walls while replacing pistons/rods, you might as well increase your stroke while you're increasing your bore. That'll yield some gain. Not massive amounts, but maybe 2-5 hp depending on how much you increase the stroke length and bore out the cylinder walls. |
