Which cam would do better with say a 75 shot? Would they react differently with having LSA of 108 on the Lumpy cam and 112 on the Comp cam?

welcome OP

Where are you from in texas ?

and yes their is a big difference...

and a nitrous specific cam would be best. But you can push a 75 shot through your stock motor fine ...

Thank you. I'm from north Texas little town of Sherman. I usually seek advice and wisdom through a local forum HORSEPLAYPERFORMANCE.COM :: Index, but I'm the only V6 guy any more so tend to probably get overlooked some. Thought I might check you guys out seem to have lots of good stuff on V6 cars that I've seen so far. I've been looking at both theses cams for a little while, trying to deciding on which one I want to choose for a up coming build hopefully this fall. I want something that is going to sound descent with good power too!

lol ops this is an old thread and your not OP haha

Oh well

Well sir, lots of cams out their. And your not gonna noctice a huge difference between the two, being: comp cams max street/strip or the ssms lumpy cam. Im sure the comp cams has a tad bit more power, but the ssms will probably be a bit choppier and sound a little better.

But just FYI, its still not gonna sound that good if you have a bunch of cats on your exhaust ...

I know it will never sound like a V8 car or anywere close for that matter especially above 2k, just really was wanting to know which of the 2 cams would react better with nitrous? I've been looking at many cams and I think either of these will give me the sound I'm looking for. Current exhaust setup is MAC long tubes, MAC off road H pipe and 2 1/2 bassani catback. Hoping to get close to something like this
.

Thank you for the advice..... but I not worried about one over the other, just want a good balance for a daily driver (power and sound). If I was worried about sound over power (doing it wrong??) I never would of started with a V6platform to begin with!! I know I will never make the V6 run like I want, but want to have something that will not get blown away by say a new 3.7L and still be able to turn heads with a descent sound at idle. That's is why I have narrowed my search down to these 2 particular cams. Only question or advice I was seeking was which one would react better with a 75 shot?

honestly i dont think it will matter to terribly much if thats all you change. But I would guess that the comp cams one would work better
