I have a 2005 V6 4.0 Mustang and I want to make it louder. What would be the best thing to do? What muffler should I get?

run straight pipes if you want it loud. but if you just want it louder and to sound half way decent i'd run flowmasters....well atleast on the 99-04's. idk what they sound like on the new ones
by the way welcom to MM

alright there are several ways to go about this depending on what your budget is and emissions realated junk.
1. If you have a a open wallet per say, get headers from MACperformance.com , best place i know of a v6, the get an offroad hpipe if emissions isnt a problem, and some flowmaster 40s/ or my personal recommendation flowmaster super 44s, you'll need MIL eliminators get them from jegs.com and if your get Long tube headers (better) you'll need O2 extenders which i beileive you can also get from jegs.com but if you get shortube headers(not as good, but still decent, 2.if your wallets not so thick just get an offroad hpipe and then 40s or super 44s, if you have emisssions and cant get around them then either get a high-flow catted h-pipe, dont need the MIL eliminators then. 3. if your not gonna do the work yourself, bring it to a muffler shop tell them what you want, headers-hpipe-flowmasters/40s/or super 44s etc. and they'll do it for you. 4.if you your wallets real tight, then bring it to them they will cut your piping after your stock cats so you still have them, and tell them to run true duels after your cats with a crossover to flowmaster 40s or super 44s, and of course exits. 5.and lastly if you want to keep everything and just get a little more rumble, which i recommend getting true duals but its up to you, you can just get a catback exhaust from flowmastermufflers.com that will directly bolt up to what you have but will end up costing you almost as much as going to a muffler shop and doing it the other way....maybe. get a 40 or 80 series catback if you just want a little something, get the dual exit catback thu..just adivice let me know if you need exact links and ill get them for ya
