OK- dumb question for the day. Ford must be playing hide the dip stick with the 04. I could be blind but its not under the hood. I checked the owners manual and it said "go to a ford dealer". They can kiss my ass. Does anyone know where to look to check the condition of the fluid??

tranny dipstick on the passenger side up by the throttle body. its a black dipstick. run your engine till operating temperature then put it in park and check it. it should be at the full when hot mark.

Ok, Im feeling dumber now... no dipstick next to the throttle body. Wher is this "filler hole" you guys speak of? Is it under the car somewhere... which doesnt make sense becuase you'd assume a filler hole would be on top becuase of gravity.. er.. aaaah, oh shit. I give up. This is like wheres waldo.

filler hole is on the side of the tranny some where u will have to go under the car pull the plug out if tranny fluid starts dripping out its full if not fill it untill it starts dripping out with the correct fluid.

lift up your car, theres two things you can put a ratchet in take the top one out put your finger in the hole, if you can feel fluid right away your good, if you have to feel around for it add some untill it starts coming out. if you just jack up one end of your car the fluids gonna be shifted and you wont get a good reading

I know this sounds nuts but there isnt one there and theres no hole where a stick may have been taken out and lost. I dont get it. Mustang Rac said ^^ that there was a hole underneath Im gonna check...

theres a hole on manuels dont know about autos, for an auto theres a dipstick and unless some one stole it on you it should be there

EUREKA!!!Thanks jug. I found the stupid thing. I never would have without your pic because it was hidden behind the "T" on the vacuum tube there.

I checked the fluid for the first time since Ive owned it.
It was wet and pink... just the way I like it.
