I want to get gears but and i found some for about $150 but i hear that to get them installed it would cost me like close to a grand...does anybody have any experience with this or know how much in general it costs to get them installed?

if you get gears get t-lok at the same time and don't pay over 250 total for install of both

yeah i was planning on that already o both wheels spin...you say it wont cost more than 250? thats not bad at all

some places will tell you a grand but don't pay them to do it any shop who has the tools and has done it before it will be 250 or less

its just smarter to get it all done at once, instead of paying for two seperate installations that could be done at the same time.

Also how many miles are on your car, you may want a bearing rebuild kit.

*EDIT* - your gonna need either a speedcal or a tuner to fix the speedo yourself.

get the bearing rebuild kit to be on the safe side.

your not gonna need a new speedo, but your speedo will be off. You just need it recalibrated is all.

i don't recommend doing it yourself anyways. Find a performance shop or something in your area.

yeah get a shop to do it, and your gonna want the rebuild kit, get them installed at the same time or your going to be paying 250 both times.

yeah LMR has a great price Ford racing gears are normally 225

so even if i have a shop install the gears i have to buy the friction modifier and the bearing kit. oh and just to clarify, i would need a dyno after they are installed correct?

i have a 2001 manual with 44,700 miles

around how much is it going to cost all together?
