only difference for a sixer for an x or a h is the sound really. I have a catted x-pipe in my garage that im gonna be selling in a bit.

x-pipe - louder and gives off a more tinnier sound, but is the only one that is being produced and sold by companies new catted

h-pipe - lower better idle, but non are made new catted anymore

straight pipes are a little more restrictive of the two, and from word of mouth say they sound worse than an x or an h

well im looking for a good deep sound but not looking to spend a fortune, and i don't really want to mess with the cats too much cuz i hear that it'll prob cause codes to pop up, and does it really matter if i get high flow cats or just leave em stock?

Correction...Straight pipes are *less* restrictive...thats why they carry the least back pressure and are not recommended on a stock setup...maybe on a Twin Turbo setup but thats it

i'm also looking for an exhaust to latch onto my stock stang, pretty much just for sound quality. anyone have any suggestion toward deep sounding systems that would give it as close to a muscled car as i can? i know it will never sound like an 8, but still, thats what im going for...isnt everyone?

..and wow, 725hp on the new gt500 wow.

The cheapest mod to make your mom know your headed home is this. Go get your car on jacks, ramp, lift, whatever. Go get a drill, pick the bit that cuts holes in doors for the handle. Go under your car and drill right into the muffler, the flat part on the bottom is the best location. Then drop your car and enjoy the head turning experience of driving.

Ya I'm not going for the v8 sound basically because A) you wont fool anyone and B) i drive a six not an eight. My thinking is that the 6 and the 8 are in completely different leagues and if you devote enough time and money into your car it will be respected more than a gt.

I saw a v6 at the bradenton motor speedway (in fl if you were wondering) and it was laying it down against modded gt's. Granted he didnt win but he pulled away for the first half of the track. If I were him I wouldn't be ashamed, running against a GT you know is modded you shouldnt hope to win

Are you in Bradenton? I live in Parrish. I havent been to that speedway yet. I friend of mine lives like 5 miles from there and we can still hear the cars racing. It must be a kickin place.

No I live in palm harbor, just west of tampa. It was at like 3pm and was only mustangs there (I was one of 3 6ers there). It was insane, all the cobras and 5.0's were ripping up the track. Literally, they had the same wheel base, almost all were 99-04.
