Rough story

So today i was at my gf's house for about an hour when she ran out to my car to get some gum. When she came in she asked me "did you knock your mirror off". Now i thought she might be tricking me but sure ass hell my drivers side mirror is totally broken off. So im thinking wtf could have happened. Then as i look again i see about 3 good size dents in the drivers door along with some huge gaps in the paint. My gf's mom decided to back out and drill my car w/ her damn chevy. She will pay for all the damages but im still pissed.

ya id be pissed if she wouldn't but shes being really nice about it so its good.....this may give me the opportunity to paint my car the color i want (blue just like AtlanicBlue's color) how much might that run me?

It is good that she is offering to pay. You are lucky here...

My color is Atlantic Blue Metallic Clear, so the clear coat has metallic flakes in it. I am not sure how much it would cost for the paint itself over a base/clear combo without flakes, but painting a different color is a multi-thousand dollar job if done right (i.e. door jambs, engine bay, etc.)

a resto paint job and dent removal on my car to make it look new is costing me right above $2000 you just need the hook ups, and possibly see if there is something automotive you can trade to cut down on cost, i traded a guy my tan 64 bug (what herbie was) for a large chunk of helping me restore my car, i am painting the original color so the engine bay on my car wont have to be painted, so it might cost you a bit more than me if you find someone good to do it

also i wouldnt even bother asking the paint and body shops in town to do it, they will f it up and charge 2 much with out a doubt (only if you decide to repaint entire car)

actually there is a very good place in my area that does extraordinary work. I just got the estimate today and it came out to $1300 for new door, mirror, and matching up the paints.
