Advice on exhaust?

i have yet to modify the exhaust on my 2002 v6. i am not an expert so any advice helps. i was wondering what to go with to get a low growl sound? i'm considering replacing with ceramic shorty headers but after that i'm stuck. h-pipe over x? will i see a significant difference with borla over something cheaper? i want to run dual 2-1/2" tips, do away with the y-pipe. cost is not an issue so i'm open for any recommendations. i've listened to a lot of audio clips and that may have just complicated things more. also any brands i should steer clear of? any help would be greatly appreciated!

short tube headers are bullshit. You might as well stay stock. get LT, O/R h pipe, (or if you have emissions, get hi-flow cats), flowmaster super 40's and your good. In order to get the growl you will need to cam your engine. You will NEVER get your car to sound like a cobra or a gt. Since we are even firing engines, it cant really be done. But, the setup I said should cost you like 5-600. 800 with the cam. You dont really need borla, but you can get it if you want. And make sure you get mandrel bends.
As for brands to stay clear of...Dont even think about buying Pypes. They are bullshit also. I got them cuz they were so cheap and couldnt wait to rip em off of my car.
