limited slip?

i bought my 2003 v6 convert about a month ago and i figured that it had the standard open diff...well i was burning out, figured id get a one wheel wonder...but when i launched, i looked behind me and saw two beautiful deep black tire marks...my question is how do i know if my car has a limited slip diff, i know i dont have t-lok though...

ive done a few 2 wheel burnouts..i think what it is..is that if you finish the burnout at an angle it drags your second tire..and thats what causes the 2 wheel marks..

when doing a born out all it takes is a shake of the steering wheel and both tires will turn. weight transfer will cause the second tire to slip and then it will smoke too ive done it a few times.

Quick way to tell. Raise both back wheels off the ground. Turn one tire in the direction it would rotate to move the car forward. With a tlok, the other tire will rotate in that same direction (to move the car forward). If it rotates the opposite (to move the car backwards) it's an open (normal) v6 differential.

The True Trac differential will also act like an open dif. The safest way to check for that is to pull the assembly cover and do a visual.

Are you going to try raising the rear tires and turning them first? There's probably a very slim chance at best someone put a True Trac in your car.

if it doesnt do a two wheel peel everytime its not t-loc and the chance of it have a true trac differential is slim to none
