Thrush or Flowmaster

Hey guys, after reading threads for the past 3 hours deciding on the perfect set up for my stang i decided to go with having the y pipe cut after the cats, a custom fabbed H pipe, flowmaster 40/thrush mufflers, and then 3.5 inch tips. I keep reading that the flows and thrush are almost identical but the thrush are quieter. how much quieter are we talking? i want my exhaust to be noticeable and have that flowmaster rumble to it. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

Welds

My welds broke after a few months, and didn't sound near as good.

Hey man, I have MAC LT Headers, no cats, divorced duals straight out the back. 2.5 piping to 3.5" tips. Awesome sound. Quiet at first, but once you break em in, they do get noticed. As you can tell from what everyone else has said, Flowmaster. The way I see it is if you dont have the money yet, save up, I waited 3 months to get everything custom done on my stang. Still waitin to move to kansas so I can go out Saleen style, but thats another cost I'll have to save for. If you're gunna do something, do it right!

I had welds. The insides started falling apart after about 3 months...

They don't sound bad. But 40s still sound better. And for the extra cash, you getting reliability because you know they wont break on you.

thursh and flowmaster 40s are the "same" or at least 95% the same design but for the extra. $ ur get better sound.....trust us there's a noticable diff in the sound not a lot but enough...and there durable (flowmaster)

....bottom line...stop being a damn jew and buy the flowmasters lol
