Mine goes off like every 30 sec or so untill its clicked in. I mean even if im outside car workin on it, and i just turn it on so i can hear radio it comes on. I know I could just click belt in and problem solved ... I was just hoping someone knew of a more perminate fix.

im pretty sure this is how it works.
with the car on or off

1. plug it in
2 unbuckle it
3 plug it in again
4 unbuckle it.... now the alarm chime is disabled

statistic-- 90% of all car accidents happen within 2 miles of your home.

You're going to expend less energy just putting your damn seatbelt on.

A higher percentage of accidents occur within one mile of your home anyway.

I used to have to pick my wife up from work. when I waited for her to come out, I'd get bored and read the owners manual... isnt that sadly sick? Anyway, Im sitting there one day being highly annoyed by that chime so I continued through the manual and there was the answer.

This must be said... Bies-- wear the thing dude!!!

I was in an accident last spring. I cant say the seatbelt saved my life but it did keep me from being hurt alot worse.

I have the right to say that because the seatbelt ALSO did some damage to me. I wasnt wearing it right becuase it was up over my lower stomach and not down around my hips where it should have been. I was hit from behind and as a result, it caused trauma to my pancrease that I'll be dealing with the rest of my life. The scaring caused calcification that can't be fixed. The worst part is that they couldnt figure out why I was sick for almost 3 months. I now have to be on a diet that restricts fat intake. My body cant metabolize it right and it makes me sick as hell when I eat anything with fat. I can get away with a little becuase theres no way to avoid it completely. If I slack off and consume like a whopper or something, it kills me for 3 or 4 days until my lipase levels go back down. No more Mcdonalds or anything good. Ive lost 35 pounds and I wasnt fat to begin with.

My point is I still WEAR it everytime Im in the car. Id rather be on a restricted diet than be dead or in a wheelchair having my ass wiped by a home nurse.

Sorry bout the downer story.

Ok well heres my opinion

Friends dad died because he was wearing it. Wasn't good, older lady(around 55-60) ran a stoplight doing 65 and hit him. If he wasn't wearing it hten he woulda been outta the car and wouldn't of been stuck in it. they had to lifestar him. since then, i dont trust them things.

that sucks. Im sorry to hear that kind of story. Nobody should die that kind of violent death in or out of a seatbelt.

I have to ask though, do you really think getting thrown out a window would have saved him? I guess nobody knows, maybe it would have right? Thats sad...

yeah i think it woulda..cuz he wasn't goin all that fast. he was waiting at a stoplight and then just started going..maybe 5 miles an hour...i think he woulda been in the hospital for awhile but woulda made it out. i guess we will never know. he's still in my prayers at nights...past away 4 years ago...
