well I just did some quick number crunching in the shower....and with that 4.2L that puts out 280HP with a S/C running at 8PSI which will give you like a 50% increase would put me around 420HP correct?

mmm im not so sure on the 50% increase ... 350 would be a reasonable number depending on what other mods you intend on putting on

haha. no. I have a custom 4.2 (300 at wheels) with a intercooled procharger(15 psi) and she its putting between 420 and 450. No way that your going to even come close to 420 with only 8 psi and the 'shelf model' 4.2. Get it custom built man.

Heres what we're looking at. You ordered the forged rod/forged piston 3.8 engine for your 97 3.8 Mustang with T-45 transmission. for best performance with the ProCharger, we're including Stage 3 cylinder heads, and the CompCams 218/224 billet cam. Your engine will include CompCams 1.7 stud mount rocker arms, Trickflow hardened pushrods, race-prepped 94-95 rods and Wiseco forged pistons. We'd recommend 8.8:1 compression ratio for your ProCharger application. We'll also provide a Stage 3 upper intake along with the BBK 56mm throttle body at no additional cost.
