mustang blue paint helps avoid tickets???

I know this sounds crazy but its coming from a sheriff I was parked next to at 7-11.

I have blue halogens on the bumper. I asked him if they were illegal and he said " I wouldnt waste my time pulling you over for them" which was cool but then we got to talking.

He said they ( at least in my county) profile the newer style of Mustangs and I didnt ask why. We were on that topic and he said that the lasers they use for speed enforcement have a difficult time with Fords blue paint. He said it takes a good shot at the license to get a read. Do you believe this or you think its crap???

By the way, I speed everywhere and have no tickets. Am I just lucky?, coincedence? I should send this to myth busters...

he is messing with you radar is a wave paint won't affect it, and the profileing thing is illegal since he told you that you could ge them in trouble

flat out no it is a load of crap. the laser reads on the return waves and the clear coat is enough to give those returns. plus if they really wanted to get you they would . trust me, i got a speedy when for once i was doing the speed limit, and get this they did not have my ticket on file, nor did they ever have any record of me ever getting my licence! but the paint will make no difference. i am good friends with a cop.

no profiling is not illigal! cause you can not prove that they do profile. think about it.

yea but if they were caught profiling it would be bad for them, it is illegal, but nearly impossible to prove..
