Porting

I've got a couple of questions and porting stuff. On your intake I know you can port it yourself but out of pure curiosity would it be as good as the ones supersix.com sales? Like same power and air flow?? Also can you port you stock heads too instead of buying them ported or just the intake? If so anyone got some directions anywhere??

When you port it just means you match the size of one hole to the other by grinding the metal and hollowing out the part. As far as a homemade job being as good as super six? Well, it depends on the person doing it.A beginner obviously is not gonna crank out professional level work or a person with out the proper equipment.

Great write up. I ported the throttle body hole of my upper intake manifold using these directions, everything worked great.
