m112 opinions

Hey guys, id like to know what your guys opinions are on m112's, are they worth the money, would it just be better to save money for a quicker car? And if theres anyone who has done an m112 do you feel it was worth it?

They run hot. You'll need to run water or meth injection to keep it from running too hot. There's also an adapter plate you need to make it work and that generally runs around $900-1000. I think you'd be better off with a turbo.

It's an improvement over stock. Your looking at running 12's in the 1/4 safelly in the 1/4 where as you could possiblly dip into the 11's with a turbo safelly.

If your going to go turbo might as well go big eh?

I'd use the search feature and look for a turbo 4.2l build.

But just the basics include:
Turbo
Exhaust headers to turbo
Exhaust from turbo to the rest of the exhaust system
intercooler
air piping front turbo to intercooler
air piping from intercooler to intake
a retune
bigger injectors (depend son how much boost u want to push)
Larger MAF (prolly needs to be a blow through MAF too)

And fyi no one makes a complete kit for the mustang.

I've seen ONE m112 car run 12s (12.9) and that was almost 500hp lol.

Well with a turbo if im goin to go big, why not just go as big as it gets and do a Twin Turbo. Also with a turbo setup am i looking at having to get forged internals?

Theres roush m-112 and 04nightmare, one is a stick and other is stock auto. I'd like to see what 04nightmares car would have done with a nice stall and the w/m hooked up and tuned.

By all rights though, the m-112 setup should run 12's with roughlly 270rwhp and the tq it makes down low. Assuming it has the correct tire, gear, tune, and driver.

What has been done to the car? If its stock id turbo it. If it isnt and you have added gears and exhaust work (besides traditional duels) then id supercharge it with a procharger of something on those lines.

Its 100% stock. But i mean i have planned on doing these like exhaust, gears, etc. in the future anyhow, so if that is a deciding factor when i got the cash i could just have save enough to do everything at once

You can do gears but dont go past 3.55 and just get the true duels for the exhaust and then with the turbo use a Y pipe to split it into the two mufflers.

First step by a tuner from AM and get a decent tune. That will fix that lag between gears. Next step is do the $2 accelerator pedal mod. Get a Cold air intake from AM (one that actually puts the filter in the fender)

Then decide what your goals are.
Then decide what realistic.
Report back here.

Mustangworld - 99 - 00 Gas Pedal Adjustment tip

Had to actually go into my favorites for this one.

It says 99-00 but its really for 99-04. Ford left us a lot of slack in the throttle cable.
