Awkward gas mileage.

i get shit for mpg

i get 15-17 70 city 30 highway about my average id guess

however without cats i'll hopefully increase mpg will know soon

and tune, but i think my tune is making my car run rich?

Probably at WOT it is. Do you know what your A/F ratio was at otherwise?

Or get it tuned by someone who's actually able to monitor that rather than by someone assuming it's the same as their test mustang.

city 17, although lately Ive been finding I spend like 15 Dollars each day for gas, and im broke haha

. I get like 22-24 highway though, even when speeding with the 4.10"s. I think my car breaths well.

Good thing is i have a full tank of nitrous

I don't know specifics on city/highway but my GT gets 14.5 on average for the tank and my V6 gets 17.3.

I guess gas mileage just wasn't a thought process when our cars were made.

They were rated mid/high 20's highway

pretty good for early 2000's

Find a Car

Mine still can get 27ish on the highway with exhaust and intake (5 spd)

our cars were designed with gas meilage as the highest priority. our engines are huge for being a v6. besides the 4.2 its one of the biggest v6's out there.

also the reason you could be getting better meilage is the fact that when your granny cruising around town all the accessories that your using are destroying gas meilage. also your radiator has to work twice as hard. when your killin the gas and driving like an asshole

then you could be creating more unburned fuel in the combustion process which gets returned by the EGR system telling the ecu to lean out the gas so you in turn get better gas meilage. also the accessories, (alternator etc.) are operating off of the momentum of the engine and arent really using as much of the engines power

I disagree with him, I get much better gas mileage diving slowly around town and not using much of my throttle. Stomping on it uses a lot more gas than accessories "destroying" your gas mileage
