Lowering questions

Hey all -

I'm thinking about lowering my 96 V6 down as I don't like the big gaps between the top of the wheel well and my wheels. I am thinking of dropping it down either 2" or 1.5", I'm not sure which height I should go for. Is there any cons to going down a full 2"? Below is what my car looks like currently. I know after installing springs you need to get it re-alligned, I can take it to a local guy to have that done. I've been looking at the Eibach springs, a friend of mine who is into Mustangs told me about another company who makes good springs, but I can't remember who it was? Gonna go by the directions given in the thread here unless someone has some better ones.

Anything else I should know before buying and installing the springs?

Also, any good with photoshop that could photoshop my car with either a 1.5 or 2" drop?

My car is dropped about 1.5" in the front and probably about 1.25" in the back.
2" is pretty low, I already have scraped my car a couple times lol

Could be. I just lowered it. most 1.5 kits look like that. The GT and the 6 sit the same more or less from the factory so pretty much any round body you see running those springs would give you an idea for your car.

There are some round bodies mixed in the photos section: http://customerpics.americanmuscle.c.../sku/47102.php

how do you know?

but 6er i'm going to be doing this within a month or two at the latest, you just use an angle grinder to cut off how much in the front? and how much in the back? i'd prefer a 2 finger gap, but if my tires rubbed i'd be pissed, also you paint them? and what about the iso's?

well both of those cars are cut 1.25 off the front and 1 off the back with no ISO's...however i think if i go that route again ill leave the ISO's for a while to see if i like the ride and stance..then if i dislike them i can always pull them. Also yes i just used a 4" angle grinder to cut them...

ride quality was fair...about the same as an aftermarket spring if not a little softer since most aftermarkets are stiffer springs. upgraded shocks wouldn't hurt lol, but thats with any suspension.

as for tape...some do...some don't...i didn't on either but thats just personal preference. once the springs are in place they're not moving and the occasional squeak during a wet day wasn't really a problem. especially with my exhaust covering up the sound

is that all the tape does? help to reduce squeak? my exhaust is pretty loud but squeaking drives me crazy, so i'd try to eliminate it?

Those rims flow so well with the rest of your car.

Hmm I could cut my stock springs eh? My car has 115k on it, so I was debating if my springs needed to be replaced alltogether. If I buy a kit, like the H&R one, will that include everything I need except tools and the alignment?
