exhaust goin all out
Ok so I know there is and official exhaust thread with clips and all that but it just doesnt help me enough. Originally, since im a pretty new mustang owner, I was just looking for a simple upgraded exhaust. 6er then I 8er showed me a great one that I planned on getting. But Ive been browsing the clips and watching youtube videos and I realized, I definitely want more. Plus I just found out there is a shop that specializes in exhaust down the road from my house, so I said screw it im goin all out. So if you guys want to help me out im looking for dual exhaust coming out the back. I dont have a GT bumper but I have seen alot of videos with the pipes just coming out under the bumper and it looks pretty good too me. I open too alot of suggestions for mufflers. I still am a fan of the thrush welds ever since 6er showed em too me. But really i open to your suggestions since im pretty new to this. My one rule is I dont want to have to deal with something that wont pass emissions, because I dont want to have to deal with all that shit. So your suggestions are welcome here and I really appreciate it.

Im guessing a mac o/r is a type of h pipe? I have heard from alot of people that long tubes are nice so im kind of interested in your second suggestion ok mac lt's and mac shorty h to thrush welds. You got any pictures of this and where I can get the parts( other than the mufflers I know where to get those) |

if you can afford LTs then go for them...if not just do a midpipe and the mufflers...if you don't have emissions loose the cats and go from there.
after much testing of different setups i've found a prochamber is as sexy as a midpipe gets on our cars...for the muffler well if you can swing it flowmaster 40's ![]() of course everything we're telling you was already posted in the exhaust threads lol so i doubt your getting any new posts since you said you've read the links |

What exactly are long tubes? I hear so much about them and everyone seems to love them but Im not exactly clear on what they are. How expensive are longtubes? What is a prochamber? How does it compare to a midpipe? |

A Prochamber is a midpipe just like an x or h pipe..just a more expensive one...IMO is has a better tone then the other two, and when your at WOT you know it along with anyone around you lol. Pricing varies on both...Check on google for Mac headers..and Mac also makes the Prochamber so that works

you said your only rule is that you want to be able to pass emissions, im pretty sure you wont pass with long tubes.

1. high flow cats that are obd2 compliant 2. heat shields welded into place with the code killed (MIL eliminators or tuner) 3. K&N cone filter... (claims to pass emissions, add 50hp, and do the kesel run in 12 parsecs) ..........

passing emissions isn't hard without cats unless your state does sniffer, then youre kind of screwed, in va they only sniffer 94 and older

also checkout stangmods.com for mac parts, thats where i got my mac parts and they're a good company with moderately fast shipping,
also look into the prochamber like 6er said, i've heard good things about it,but never heard it on a v6 on youtube or in person so ![]() imo just go with mil eliminators from AM |

also heard that even if they could pass the test, youll just fail the visual instantly, since there "off-road use only", but theres always a way around stuff like this.

Mike we all like your car stop rubbing it in our face
anyway on topic, if you have a custom exhaust shop down the road from your house, ask them what they think would sound best they work with exhaust every day and will know what will sound best
