Choices choices need advice
So ive been having a hard time deciding what i should do with my v6 stang. I want to buy these saleen rims
Staggered Black Chrome Saleen Style Wheel & Tire Kit - 18x9/10 (99-04) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! but they are pretty expensive. Whats stopping me besides the price is the fact I want a v8 because with an o/r x pipe the side is to die for. So my question is what should i do...buy these rims and put them on my silver v6 or spend a lot more money and invest in a v8. Plus and minuses on both as i see it is id keep my stock rims at home and if i wanted to sell my v6 i could just put the stock rims on and keep the saleen rims to sell and get some of my money back or put in on a v8 if i decide to get one. Mpg wouldnt change at all since i get 17 mpg on my v6 anyway (lightfoot) but insurance would go up for the gt and id probably spend like $5000 to buy a gt. So your opinions would be greatly appreciated. |

If buying a GT is even an option for you, id say do it....Im in too deep in my v6 to back out now, and a GT can be nasty fast....The guy i bought my rear end from has an 02 vortech'd GT that makes 400 at the wheels. Even a stock GT is a huge upgrade from a v6 though..

so i saw this ad on craigslist and im considering it but i reliezed having staggered wheels means i cant rotate..anyways what are the downsides of having 17" rims up front and 18" in the back? and nitto tires wear down fast correct?
Mustang Rims so yay or nay on this? |

![]() Honestly, I would go with the wheels. If you decide later on to get a GT, the bolt pattern is the same. Just keep your stock wheels stored away somewhere.

id say hold off and use the money for school and bills. Play the lottery once in a while. Maybe your a lucky person I dont know. But I feel like school is the most important thing. So just save your money, maybe put some away for every pay check than maybe when your out of college you will have enought saved up for a GT or whatever. I realize this is probably easier said than doen because you have that urge to mod for your car. Good luck though
