Should i do it?!


This guy has a 88 5.0 for a few hundred bucks, has the harness and computer. 100K on it. what you guys think? go through with the swap into my 3.8? was holding out for a 351 but that guys a tool and wont respond

Its a lot of work for not that much power unless you build the engine a little bit. Is it just the engine or is the transmission there too? (Unless their the same...)

hes got an aod with it but i wanna keep my t5. i heard it aint that bad of a swap, mostly the throttle linkage and fuel systems is the issue, im ok with oin to carb but dont have to

It will give an increase in torque over your V6. There are a lot more parts available for the 5.0. It would be a fun project if your area does not require smog testing. It may make it difficult to trade in or sell the car if you decide you want to in the future.
