It might help, but not enough to be noticeable. Our stock intakes are already designed like a CAI because the filters are completely shielded from the engine bay and draw air in through the fender. They originally came with a "snorkel" that ran down inside the fender but they were restricting so many people took them off. A CAI really is just going to make your engine bay look cleaner, put the filter completely in the fender, and give the air a smoother path to the engine. So really, gains are very minimal. But the AM cheap CAI is a decent starter mod. Fairly simple to install so if you don't have a lot of automotive knowledge it's a good way to get your hands dirty and get a little more comfortable with your car.

Oh ok because i went for a tune up and my mechanic suggested new spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and a CAI.

My v6 getting 10-12MPG city was really starting to scare me so it had to be done lol.

Edit: Also random quesiton, My mechanic wants $80 to install -> Spark plugs, Spark plug wires, Fuel Filter, Serpentine Belt and the CAI. Is this a good deal or should I "try" and do it my self. (I am a beginner to modding and basically have no idea)
