are these springs the same
ok I'm comparing prices from AM and LMR. Are these the same kinds of springs?
Eibach Pro-Kit Mustang Springs (79-04 V6/4 Cyl. Coupe) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! 1979-04 Mustang Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Spring Kit at LRS - Same Day Shipping! AM has the springs divided for v6 coupe, v6 convert, v8 coupe, ect... But LMR says that its for all types. is there really a difference? And will C&C plates be needed? MRK this goes to you lol also, is LMR free shipping? i cant remember.

The one from LRS says it's for 99-04 v6 CONVERTIBLE... so far AM prokit looks more appropriate for your car. I got mine from AutoAnything.com about 5 years ago. I think I paid $229 free shipping. I don't have C&C plates although... I have a barely noticeable negative camber which can easily be fixed by camber bolts that's about $20+ from Autozone (from my own research). I know a guy that can install it for $40...

Check other online stores... Maybe they'd have it cheaper...
May I ask why prokits? Just curious... A lot of people go for H&R etc.

H&R and prokit really just seem to be the same height. besides, most people compliment on your ride height (I do too, i'm in love with it) and I want to follow in the steps of the loved lol

LMR is $15 shipping.
For the springs, drop is only part of the equation. Gotta look at the rate, too. You can have stock rate drop springs if you're just after the look, or get increased rate springs if you want improved handling (but you'll likely need to upgrade your dampers as the stock ones aren't really designed for higher-rate springs). For the CC plates, again it depends if you care about handling or not. If you do, you need CC plates at stock ride height, much less with a ride-height change. If you don't, 1.5" is about the dividing point between needing them and not.

Depends what you're after and what your budget is.

im just after a great look but retain daily drive ability. i know the ride will be rougher since the springs will be stiffer the ride will be rougher but i don't really mind. basically my goal is a 1.5in drop with stiffer springs but i want it decent to drive since its my DD. My budget isn't the best, i want to lower it for no more than $300 I can get all 4 springs for $160. I think i have moroso shocks in the rear and they are very stiff.

Hrm... $300 is tight for both springs and dampers. Honestly, you're not gonna get anything good new if half that budget is already dropped on springs, even Tokico blues (which'd be my recommendation) are gonna run you at least $200 for all four corners. You might be able to get Sensatracs for $150ish, but I don't know that they'll handle the increased spring rate for very long. You'll definitely want to get GT dampers if you go that route, as they'll be designed for a slightly stiffer spring than V6 dampers are.

well i'm out for summer and all but since i go to an early college high school i have to go to school literally all day and i can't really retain a job during the school year and since i have my permit this summer i can't really get a job, so i am just kind of getting the cheaper upgrades now and getting the more expensive ones as i save the money up. but i can probably get like 300 - 400 by the end of summer, so i am just planning for now.
