What should i add to my mustang?

I just bought my first car a couple months ago.

A used 97 v6 mustang.

It needed an engine and it had dents and leaks and stuff so i got it cheap.

Instead of buying an engine i ended up being able to fix the one that it came with.

I cleaned it up and i put on some tires and rims that i got an amazing deal on and the stock rims were bent and the tires that it came with were worn down all the way.

I cut into the console and put in a cup holder, i also painted the carpet black with fabric paint and painted the console.

I put on seat covers too because the cloth seats were nasty and i don't have nearly enough money for new seats.

My buddy had some sweet leather racing seats he gave me but they didnt fit properly.

I don't have a lot of money but i have enough to do some things to it.

What do you guys think i should do to it next?

Cut your factory springs and lower her.

Then look into doing some real mods, your first step maybe to do a split port swap. I'd go to a junkyard and find a 2001+ and snag the parts for a split swap. Will give you a decent base for future mods like a windstar intake, yadda yadda...

And seeing as its an auto I'd grab a handheld tuner to wake the car up, may also look into doing a J-mod to the transmission. But that's just me.

I'm rocking an 01 auto, got a tuner loved the difference, did a J-mod loved it even more, my next step will be a set of gears and T-lok (for duel burnouts) then I'm digging into the motor deep.

Just curious, why 01+? Biggest differences that I can think of between the 99-00 and 01+ is the addition of IMRCs (which it seems like a lot of people would prefer to delete them) and how the engine is balanced (99-00 is external 01+ is internal). Of course there were more changes for the 04 3.9, but we won't get into that

I did it with the help of a buddy of mine who did his. I followed the write up I found on another webby and I found a youtube video that showed everything to do after getting the valve body out of the transmission. I know its not nessecary to remove the valve body I just found it easy to work on it that way. I also purchased a book on rebuilding the 4r70w when I go to the storage unit tomorrow I'll get the title and publication information for you. It doesn't have enough pictures but it has a lot of detailed written instructions. I took a whole day to do it but I wasn't in a hurry and a lot of time was spent looking at his pictures and comparing them to mine.
