Yeah usually people don't have a spare, I know I don't. Are the spark plugs gapped correctly? Are you certain you're getting fuel into the system? Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? What all exectly did you check for when you went out and troubleshot

we tried everthing we read on here and other sites...nothing worked...checked plugs... and my friend who says he knows more about the fuel line than i did said it was working...we turned key in ignition not all the way on and the theft light kept flashing it never went off so we think its the pats.....does that sound right??

looks like you're more then likely going to have to get it towed to a stealership to get the PATS reset..

you could always go copy the key you have now anyway and try to start the car with that key, at the very least compare what happens with the copied key, kind of like comparing sounds of the engine trying to turn over.
