would this fit in my v6?

ok so my dad has a 2000 f-150 xlt 4x4
he has the 4.6l engine and he was talking about how we should swap it into my mustang, is it the same engine that would have come in my car if it was a v8, he thinks the truck is junk so he was actually pretty serious
only problem is it has 196k miles on it
and then he said something about how we should make the mustang 4x4 and i was like
so is it possible to put that engine in, and is it possible to make it 4x4?

fun father son project... rebuild the engine then drop it in ... frame mounts should be similar... wiring might be a lil wack and computer would need to be reflashed but other then that go for it

the thing is though we could do it all ourselves, my dad used to be a mechanic and we already had to put the v6 we have in there now in ourselves, but what i dont get is how u could make it 4x4 like what is all needed

a lot, it would be easier just to pull the f-150 body off and shorten the chassis and drop the mustang body on it. lol

lol maybe ill do that
but would it being a 4x4 make it faster at all or not really
i dont think he was serious about making it 4x4 but he was pretty serious about the engine, and the engine is in good condition still for having 196, the reason he said that is because the body is pretty bad

honestly a 4.6 with almost 200k miles isn't the best idea.

ya if your serious about putting that 4.6 in your stang then i would rebuild the whole engine...i would stroke it and make it a performance motor then drop that beast in....but on the subject of the all wheel drive....you would spend as much money trying to make it awd then to buy a whole new car

4X4???? If you want one so bad, I will buy a piece 4X4 and ill take the Stang. You have a lifted Stang with 44 inch Swampers in your head, dont you? A purple lifted Stang with 44 inch Swampers.

my girlfriend has a purple mustang like yours but with a lot of stuff done to it...sounds like you want to put a whole bunch of work into this car that just doesnt seem practical...too many miles, too much labor and expenses...just get a newer mustang, preferably one that isnt purple

rebuild the motor and drop it in.. 4x4 requires alot of shit that wont work unless you basically create your own version of your car look at 100,000 in parts
