A Couple Q's

Yo, my car's has been acting weird lately. It's been sounding weird and shaking. Luckily, my friend's fam has a shop and I found out what's wrong with it.

I need to clean out my EGR valve, how do you go about doing that??

Also, I have a misfire due to loose bolts on my upper intake. They tightened em a bit. Is it worth going windstar style instead? Plus, if I would go windstar, does it use the same gasket? I ordered a new one to be on the safe side.

You need to take the EGR off to clean it. Not sure what you would clean it with really though. Carb cleaner?

As far as the windstar it uses different gaskets. And if you take the egr off you're going to need two new EGR gaskets.

^why two? I'm familiar with only one that sits on the flange between the egr and engine block.

There is one that goes between the egr mount and the actual egr valve too

I used carb cleaner to try and clean my EGR valve when mine threw a code for it..but it ended up being rusted shut, so try and put a vacuum on each end to see if there is still air coming through.
