i believe that AM sells that same one as their no name shifter. I had the one from AM and i did not like it. ended up spending the cash for a new MGW setup which i installed a couple of days ago and it is so much better.

anyways, let me know how you like it, maybe i got a bad unit.

It will probably be better than your stocker.... but from my experiences nothing compares to MGW.

yes it defiantly gives you a shorter shift but the shifts felt sloppy and the handle moved around a bit while in gear.

my MGW does not do that and has nice smooth shifts.

You sir are exactly correct. MGW has the perfect tension, zero in gear play, and is built like a tank. oh and if I remember correctly they are warranted for life against defects or breakage . A couple of my other friends have the tri-ax and the AM cheapee but they all wish they bought the MGW

Yeah, I've had the stocker, stocker with solid shift lever bushings, a tri-ax, and now I'm running an MGW.

The night/day difference for me is in ditching the rubber shift lever bushing, whether that was with a $200 shifter or $10 solid bushings. The other benefits (shorter throw, centering springs, positive shift stops) are nice, but that's the most noticable.

I was thinking of getting the AM one, but I kept reading the reviews on the mgw & decided to wait till I had the money for it. Lol, hopefully soon because I really don't like the stock shifter....

Give the $10 solid bushings from either Steeda or MM a try until you have the money for the MGW.
