okay i just recently replaced my fuel filter and my spark plugs and after i start my car it idles down to 1k then it goes down to about 600 then jumps back up to about 800 and idles rough for about 15 seconds, then it runs fine. and ideas? i'm thinking that i just have a bad fuel filter (i got one from o'rileys it was a wix fuel filter)

Does it ever do it when you're just sitting at a stop light? If so, I'd clean the IAC.
Also, were the plugs gapped to 0.052"? Fuel filter pointing the correct direction?

every now and then but not really. the fuel filter is facing in the right direction and the plugs are E3's so you cant really gap them.

I would start by cleaning the IAC. A can of TB/Carb cleaner works. If that doesn't take care of it, I'd put my money on it being the E3 plugs.

haha you would think the over priced E3's would do better. but the E3's are doing better in the higher revs than the Bosch platinums did. lol but i think il just be fine with the E3's for now lol

Motorcrafts are great. Copper plugs work well in our engines

So, Are motorcrafts copper only? I'd hate to buy the wrong thing.
Which would you Refer me to? Motorcraft, Or Autolite? |

No, I'm pretty sure Motorcraft makes platinum, iridium, etc plugs too. When you go to buy them, there should be a book near them so you can look up exactly what plugs you need and it should give you the proper item number for the copper plugs (also, they tend to say "copper" on them somewhere). And either Motorcraft or Autolite will work just as well as the other. Autolite might be a tad cheaper.
