No it doesn't make a difference performance wise. Anything you feel in the difference is in your head.

As far as it being tested over and over, show the UNBIASED testing done on it with the entire study and numbers and I will believe you. Just because K&N or any other company claims they have done studies and blah blah on it doesn't mean that the numbers aren't twisted to fit how they want it. Numbers can ALWAYS be fixed to show the results you want.

me and ESG have said all this before in other threads...didn't work out then and i don't see it working out now...just a heads up when the oposition comes in

I think having the metal on your filter rust means that its not in a good location. Rust means that its getting wet and obviously you dont want water getting on the filter and in your engine.

ive had mine on more awhile with no such problems. your filter is in a spot where its exposed to rain/puddles/car wash etc. i would reposition it.
