I'm 2 seconds away from hitting the buy button...
I'm getting ready to buy my gears and T-lok from AM but I just wanted some clarity on a few questions first. I'm torn between 3.73's or 4.10's, my car is a manual and I rarely ever drive on the highway. So would 3.73's be more for my driving style?
Also, when I get my gears will I have to get a whole new tune to correct my speedometer or can I just adjust it from inside the tuner's default settings?

3:73's. Plus you have room to go if you get to used to them

4.10s. I've got them in my car (manual) and I fucking love them. Best thing I ever did to my car

How much of a difference did you notice over stock?

4:10's for sure and it depends on what tuner you have. Some are not adjustable.

Lol I guess I could have reworded it haha. I've just never rode in a Mustang that's been geared so i'm kind of new in this area. I just wondered if it's worth the cash that it's gonna cost me.

Pretty big difference. Just be aware that you're going to shift a lot more. With stock gears I normally shifted at 25 into 2nd, 40 into 3rd, 55 into 4th, then 5th when I hit my cruising speed. With 4.10s I shift at 10-15 into 2nd, 25-30 into 3rd, and ~40 into 4th, then 5th at cruising speed. But if I was on a 30mph road I could put the car in 4th and cruise at just about 1500rpm. I like 4.10s for city driving but I don't mind shifting a lot. Highways aren't so great with them because cruising at 70-75 in 5th you're at like 2500-2800rpm. However I did 90% of my driving on the highways and didn't bitch about it

Thanks for everybodies help, I just placed the order for the 3.73's and t-lok with the installation kit. I used to MM code and it came out to $419! Now it's time to play the horrid waiting game.

Cool deal on the 3.73s...Personally i would have gone 4.10s though...I have 3.73s in my 8.8 and there really fun, but 4.10s would be more fun
