Seafoam Problem?
ok so i decided to seafoam my car since its got 160000 miles and has proly never been done. well i put 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 in the crank case and was starting to put 1/3 in the intake. we i started my car and started to put it in the intake through the vaccume line and it would not suck one bit up so i decided to pour it in slowely, well it all just ran out through my air filter. Y is there no vaccume on that hose? any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cleans out the gas lines, inside the engine to remove all that gunk shit so ur car can regain the little hp it lost. better throttle response. it'll feel like ur car wants to go. Many people say dont go over 200kmiles to use seafoam but i used mine at 205k no problem at all. but if your going to use it, do it when ur almost going to do an oil change. put in seafoam and after 150 to 200miles change ur oil as the seafoam drops all the gunk into your oil pan n such.

Cleans all the crap out of your engine. That stuff will eat through anything which is why you don't want to so it often or leave it in for too long. It will eat through a gasket no problem. Remember don't leave it in your car for more than like 10-15 min. I know someone who left it in their car for a day and it ate through their head gasket.

You just drive around with smoke coming out, or you can rev it, I've never put any in my intake but i've put it in my gas, i don't notice much help in the MPG though.

OP did you put it through the PCV hose that connects to the air intake tube? If so, there's very little vacuum there unless the TB is open which is why the line wouldn't suck it up. The PCV hose that runs from the driver side valve cover to the upper intake is the hose you want. And no, no need to change the oil if you run it through the upper intake. The Seafoam will simply get burned up during normal combustion and get sent out the exhaust. The only time Seafoam requires and oil change is when you add it to the oil.

thanks mcqueen. i had read somewhere that i was to use the PCV line on the passenger side which was obviously wrong. and then i found the right one and it worked like a charm. but i think i will do it again bc the car has 160000 miles and proly has never been done so it aint gonna hurt it.
