Pedal Covers
So I bought a set of covers at AutoZone. They can be applied via drilling holes or via use of brakets. I drilled on hole in the brake and clutch pedals and had no problem securing those but the gas pedal seems a bit more problematic. Anyone do this with their ride. Would be interested in hearing opinions or thoughts.

sorry...i don't think i've seen a thread with a writeup on MM on this...most people get bullitt pedals if they want something different.
part of your gas pedal problem is it's curved shape...good luck though. although hard to imagine nice pedals at autozone |

The accelerator pedal has a pin that pushes through the pedal and cover (from the side). There are 2 or 3 bolts holding the pedal assembly to the firewall. Remove those, remove the accelerator cable, and use a punch to get the pin out once you have the assembly out of the car. Do not attempt to install the cover with the pedal still attached (trust me, I did it, not worth spending 2 minutes removing the pedal assembly).

+1, i want to see what you picked up because 95% of pedal covers look stupid.

+1. I had more issues with my stock pedal covers being slippery than with my Bullitt pedal covers.

ok...well here is a link to the JC Whitney page for the pedals I bought....the only thing i noticed is that they (brake and clutch pedal) are a bit bigger than the actual pedals.

Well after some research I find that alot of folks think poorly of the Pilot products. Ill probably keep them for awhile untill I can save up a few bones for different ones, but they will do the job for a littlewhile.

Psh, I like mine just fine.
![]() ![]() That said, +1 to not using Autozone pedal covers or, well, any body modification from there. There's much better looking OEM parts out there. That's the beauty of the Mustang, there's tons of Mach 1/Bullitt/Cobra parts floating around out there that look better than stock, but still tasteful.

Looking @ 6Er's picture of the mounted pedals, It looks like the brake and clutch pedal are @ the same height, but I noticed that my brake pedal looks significantly 'lower' than my clutch pedal. Is that a problem? By lower I mean closer to the firewall.
