Well, i didn't really know where to post this so the mods can move it if yall want. but my question is about engine swaps. My state laws dictate that to do an engine swap, it has to have been offered as a factory option in the car. so I have a 2000 v6 mustang, and i was wandering if it would comply with the laws to put a 5.4 in since the 2000 cobra r had a 5.4. It would be a long time before i did it but i have been wandering about this for a long time.

If I did a V8 swap though, it would be a 383 SBC with a standalone SFI and a Turbo 350 with a high stall.

And for that same price, I would put a 414 in my car, with a c4 and a nice stall (or a tko600) and walk all over you.

a 5.4L 4v swap should be fun, not cheap at all though
