5 speed help

since i do not have to tools and time to do a 5 speed swap does anyone know a shop in MA that would even consider performing the swap? I know eastcoastautoworks would of done the swap for relatively cheap but i think they are out of business now sucks. Any suggestions would be great and helpful. thanks

I have to agree... I'm not sure what shop time on the swap would be, but at home it's definitely a weekend job, and that's assuming you have all the parts and pieces (luckily when my father and I did mine, we had a parts car handy).

For the price of a shop to do the work, you take that money, sell your car, and buy something that already has a stickshift in it. Heck, you could probably find a GT while you're at it.

i appreciate and i do know that it would be a lot cheaper to buy a newer stang, but i am partial to this stang already been through a lot i know my car inside and out pretty much now dont feel like playing the bad headgasket game again lol. planning on a 4.3 stroker from ssms next year if i get this done. Im having trouble also finding all the parts that i need. Wish there was a kit that i could just purchase and be on my way.

it sucks because im pretty sure you have an aode tranny (used in 94-95 stang v6) and there not really sought after so you wouldnt be able to get much $ for your auto.

Ive always thought about going ahead and trying to do this swap. im sure i could find someone willing to trade me a manual tranny for a 4r70w (there very strong tannys used in alot of track only ford cars). im pretty sure 96+ use the 4r70w

I just dont think anything else besides the T5 bolt ups. Maybe the t45 does but i have absolutely no idea.

i know i am not really sure either i believe it is only the T5 but i want to put a lot of power to the ground later on also so i want to find a pretty good shape T5 and build it or hopefully there are stronger 5 speeds that are compatiable.
