A/C cutting in/out

guys my a/c has been cutting in and out a lot recently..still blows cold but when I get into the gas a little bit more than chill it blows warmer, and randomly/often when i'm cruising at a constant speed. my friend said it could be the vent check valve but i am unsure, Mattman said it could be the a/c clutch but its fine at idle, and can't check it when I'm driving..
help?

I would think that it's either a AC clutch or compressor problem.

I'm really not sure how to test that while you're driving though. Can you get it to do that while revved and not moving?

I looked at the clutch while revving it on the throttle body and it didnt stop spinning, so how am I to check the compressor for problems?

Well your AC should cycle.. so you should see the clutch catch and release.

Is it supposed to turn on and off a few times a minute? From what i noticed it didn't release while the air was on until I jumped the low pressure switch on the canister so I could keep the compressor running while I checked the freon pressure..its sitting at 37psi. The first time I jumped it it released but I tried it again and the clutch stayed engaged..idk what else to look for
