ticking from my engine bay?

well i can hear ticking sound coming from my engine bay and i'm trying to figure out which of 3 things that it can be. Its very faint and i couldn't pick it up on camera. Is it 1. Rod Knock, 2. Sticky Lifter, or 3. TOB. My throw out bearing is screaming like a witch outta hell, so what is your opinions?

you need to take a video. Its funny though because with your description it sounds like an exhaust leak.

Where is the ticking coming from? listen with your ear over the valve covers carefully. Lifter tap is a very distinctive noise, watch a video on youtube of it to compare to your sound.

If you have a stethoscope (thing doctor listens to your heart with) it can really help in finding the source to an internal engine noise.

and are you sure you dont smell exhaust in your engine bay? Since thats the most common cause of ticking in these motors you want to be able to eliminate that first.

the sound fill ups the engine bay but it is pretty faint and sort of goes away after you push the clutch in, which leads me to believe that it is my already failing throw out bearing. and i know its not an exhaust leak because i have already fixed the exhaust leak it had. also I tryed to get a video but my crappy camera can't pick up the sound :/

If the noise goes away then it's most likely your TOB. You said it screams like a witch out of hell, but if it's THAT loud then it would still make noise when you push your clutch in lol (ask me how I know lol). Have you totally ruled out the possibility of an exhaust leak? Where was the leak at before? If it was anywhere else but the passenger side exhaust manifold then i'd look in to that. Our cars have a known issue for our passenger side manifold to crack due to fluids from the AC lines dripping on it and cracking.

Just because you replaced one exhaust header doesn't mean you don't have an exhaust leak elsewhere. I'd remove the passenger header and check it, that's the infamous 'ac drip' issue.

However, if the noise truly does dissapear when you apply the clutch, I'd clearly be thinking that your issue lies with the clutch system, and most likely the TOB. Also an infamous piece for going bad.

Mileage on car? Clutch/tob ever been replaced? What about passenger manifold?

Most people who think they have a sticky lifter on these cars find out that it is something easier to deal with and less severe. Actual sticking lifters are not too common on these cars so long as they've been taken care of.

The car has 135k on it and the TOB and clutch were replaced like 10k ago maybe? and idk my dad had some shit mechanic do it and I think he reused the TOB (dipshit :mad). but it doesn't go away when the clutch is pushed in, i said it lessens so I think now the TOB ticking and screaming and what not is just echoing up into the engine bay.
