Which Is Better?
When i get some more money i would like to buy some headers. I have a feeling that
These ones through AM are cheaper but do not have the air injection. I am just wondering if the ones with air injection are really better and if so are they worth the extra to buy them? Does anybody have experience with either of these? |

Air injection is just for emissions which you don't have to worry about at all in Iowa. And I say save your money and don't buy either of those. Your exhaust manifolds are basically shorty headers and you will see no gains besides a little chrome in the engine bay (not much though because they're hard to see). If you want to upgrade headers, go with long tube headers.

You could also look into doing a split port swap since you have a single port engine (basically using a number of parts from a 99-04 V6). There's a list of everything you need in one of the stickies at the top of the forum. You'll get some good gains from that.

No but i bet i did sound good my 6 sound so sweet. Its a good setup cuz the chamber muff and pro chamber keeps some back pressure so u dont lose all your streetble driving. When i frist did my setup it was an off road X and LM1 so loud but very raspy LM2 are better with pro chamber its nice and deep but the MAC chamber muffs are the best. Its deep and loud but is nice at idle and so sexy when u jump on it. All in all if u wanna stay short tubes JBA are nice just do Pro chamber and LM2 or MAC muff Flowmaster single chamers aro also nice but sound kinda raspy at 3k-around 4k if auto bout 5k on stick. I had auto so i know from exp.

Long tubes. Don't waste your money on those unless you are planning to make turbo headers from them.

A friend of mine says he actually measure them out, and the inside of the aftermarket shorties is a hair larger then the stockers ... pointless. Worry about your midpipe or get long tubes ...
