Getting my gears installed tomorrow....break in advice?

So i'm getting my 3.73's and t-lok installed tomorrow and I was wondering what not to do during the break-in period. I know you're not supposed to go over 50-60 mph constantly. What else do I not do? Just stuff like no burnouts, hard launches, etc? And do you HAVE to do the full 500 mile break in? It's just going to suck having a new mod and not being able to use it for a while lol.

When I got my gears installed, I uploaded my tune for them, pulled out of the parking lot, drove a few blocks real easy, then let it rip and spun the tires. The following 500 miles included lots of clutch dumping, high RPM pulls, and hard shifts. After 10k miles with those gears I didn't have any issues

If you're worried about it at all, just be easy one them for a few weeks. I personally wasn't and had the money put away to have another set installed if I fucked them up too bad

Mat dont forget to report back on the difference with the new gears. A good write up would be nice!

Also i heard you did the windstar mod./ I bought the intakes now i need to know what to do next and what else to buy

I haven't done it...yet

I can assure you the there's quite a difference between 3.27s and 3.73s or 4.10s. But it's impossible to make someone fully understand with words. It's just one of those things you have to feel to actually understand
