Oil in the coolant need help asap
Ok well here is my cars info
1999 V6 5spd 230xxx miles Problem: ok well today I choose to check to see how my coolant was in my radiator and it has oil mixed in it. So right away I changed my oil but no coolant in the oil pan at all. Now I'm curious as to if anyone on here has had the same problem. I'm goin to flush the coolant system tomorrow. The only thing that I happened to do to the cooling system was that the over flow hose kept falling off so I shortened it and tied it to the radiator and over flow tank. I'm kinda hopen I sucked dirt in thru the hose but not sure. Thanks ahead of time Kyle |

Yea I was thinkin that did a compression check and those tested fine also no coolant in the actual oil in the pan I'm kinda now leaning towards just maybe dirty old coolant.

Holy Shit 230xxx miles? Why dont you consider an Engine Swap?
By that milage you should have replaced the head gasket. I wonder if mine will make it that long.

ur panicuhm if there is oil in your coolant then i would say headgasket is letting oil pass into a coolant passage. OR you have a crack in your block/head but most likely its the headgasket, also have you entertained the idea that your radiator hoses are deteriorating from the inside out lol i would give them a pat down and see if they feel like they are rotting.

I've had 2 different vehicles with more miles and original head gaskets, but my brothers Ram went at 180k, we used "steel seal" stuff and it actually worked.... for now
