a split port swap would benefit you pretty greatly, food for thought

Like he said a split port swap is the best bang for the buck but If youre looking for something you can do yourself to add some power you could port and polish your heads, lower, and upper intake manifold.

40+hp, depending on how much work you do while you have them off... i'd also throw a cam at it while i had it all apart, you'll need the heads lower and upper intake... or you could throw the windstar on there while your at it... swapping to the split ports will give you more options... unless your planning on boosting then i'd just port and pocket those single ports...

Lmk if you think about doing a split port swap, ive got a pair of heads and both intakes sitting in my closet that you could have for free, all I ask is that you pay for the shipping.

if you did do a splitport swap....and your not going to put a aftermarket cam in then just leave your singleport cam in.
The stock splitport cam is actually worse than the singleport cam Oh an if you did a splitport swap than you could just port and polish those heads instead

97+ f-150 V6 heads or 99+ mustang v6 heads
-97+ f-150 v6 lower intake, or 99+ v6 mustang lower intake -99+ mustang v6 upper intake -99+ mustang EGR tube and valve (f-150 tube will work, but will need to be modified to clear the inlet for the vortech) -TPS sensor for TB (1-CX-1488 from Ford) if not already on TB -99+ TB -Modified fuel rail that has a universal fuel pressure regulator, and a return line. (available from SteveC) -Accelerator Bracket (F4SZ-9728-B) if not already included on upper intake -Throttle cable from 99+ mustang v6 -99+ mustang v6 coil pack and wires -99+ mustang intake tube, or any 99+ mustang CAI kit -99+ mustang cooling hoses (including the ones going to the heater core) and pipes. You can also make your own lines, by using plumbing elbows, hoses and clamps, and fab it up yourself. note, if you use the 97+ f-150 lower, you'll have to fab it up yourself -16 a.w.g automotive electrical wire -teflon tape, pipe sealant, RTV -head gaskets (i recommend 99+ mustang gaskets) -upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. TB gasket, 94-98 IAC gasket, 94-98 valve cover gaskets(reuse the 94-98 valve covers), exhaust header/manifold gaskets -you can reuse the 94-98 headers -use the 94-98 IAC since the 99+ IAC has a different connector -rad fluid, oil, filter, new spark plugs -JB weld (if you have a lower intake with the IMRC's since you need to remove them)

IMRC = Intake Manifold Runner Control. Just get your lower intake out of a 99-00 Mustang and I can assure you that you won't have to deal with removing the IMRC (they started using them in 01).
