Throttle Body Question

Hey guys. I bought and installed a cold air intake, throttle body spacer and a throttle body. When i installed it all i was starting to have problems with it. When i floor it from 0 it works fine but when i floor it when im already moving it doesnt go over 2000 rpms and speeds up very slowly. Well, i was told i was suppose to somehow reset the throttle line. Does anyone know how to do that for a 2002 mustang v6 or have any other sudjestions? Thanks!

i have the TPS sensor connected. I dont have an exhaust on it yet but it was only suppose to increase the horsepower by about 30 so i didnt think i needed an exhaust first...maybe im wrong?

Who told you that you were going to get 30 horses with that on a stock motor?

Have you checked for any vacuum leaks? Get a can of starter fluid and spray around the throttle body and areas that you worked.....Maybe you'll find your problem.

hahahahahahahaha, what increases what by 30 horsepower, im sure youre not gettin no 30 horses out of a cai and a throttle body, and an exhaust wouldnt do that for you either, unless i am sadly mistaken, just remember dont believe everything you read. oo and by the way welcome to M.M.

Technically when all the electricity drains from the system it resets it. But 5 minutes should be plenty of time. I've also heard as soon as you disconnect the battery you can press the brake pedal and that'll ensure there's no more electricity in the system and you can hook it back up.

well u should get exhaust now cause u r throwing in more air but the single "y" exhaust is putting some sort of limit idk if u understand what i'm telling u later get true duals and a cross over with 40s or 44s 44s sound better.... that would cost like less than 400$ custom made by a shop

Sorry, I wasn't clear. Do it while the engine is running and moderately. One area at a time. If the engine revs up on its own.....Tada you've found a vacuum leak.
