side exhaust...
hey guys, I'm lowering my car like 1inch all around and i was thinking of getting a new dual exhaust that dumps before the rear wheels, anyone know of any place that sells it? but the real question is will i have to worry about crushing the tips on bumps?

Side exhaust looks funny without the right side skirts, roush makes a catback kit but it will set you back about 900 bucks, the best thing to do is take your car to the exhaust shop and have them fab you one up
I lied they don't carry it for the 99 V6 anymore, just take it to an exhaust shop and see what they can do for you

just so you know, its 200 dollars cheaper straight from roush and you don't have to cut the holes for the exhaust the side skirts run flush with the exhaust tips if you wanna shell out 180 per exhaust tip...

![]() sorry had to say it...honestly after doing a side exhaust to see what it sounded like i woudn't advise anyone to go that route...a good out the back setup just sounds so much better through the rpm range ![]() granted the midpipe and mufflers have alot to play in that as well...but you just don't get the hollow tone with side exhausts on a v6 like a standard setup |

yep....
so back to your side exhaust thing though...i even tried a Prochamber on the side exhaust setup and i just hated its sound overall...a month later i had the exhaust redone...lol then again 2 months later i had my exhaust redone again. still deciding what muffler to try out next. probly a flow 10 but we'll see |

6er, do the 10's & let me know how it sounds
I was to try true duals w/ flow 10's, but I've never heard it on a Split Port engine =/ Actually, I want to do it up myself. My boy has a welder. I just need to find where I can pick up the pipes & figure out where I need the bends..
