Rattling in the Exhaust ----- thats the opposite of how i feel.i took my car to the exhaust shop today. Had some rattling under the car that was pretty noticeable at idle. I had my exhaust done about two and a half years ago at a local exhaust shop, a father and son store. called them up and said hey i have a rattle, is your exhaust work warrantied, he said yes, for life. i take it in, throws it up on the rack and behold one of the pipes on my longtubes is touching the starter. thats where my rattle is coming from. 100% thats my rattle source. Cliff Notes: my headers rub my starter slightly causing a loud rattle similiar to a broken clamp. question to the community: has anyone had this issue and how would you fix it? I believe i am going to find some header wrap and wrap just around that one spot of the header, the exhaust shop said i could bring it back and he would throw it back on the rack and slide it in their for me. but i can do it with a jack.

also, have you checked the heat shields on your cats?

we took a screwdriver while the car was running on a rack and pried the header pipe alittle bit away from the starter and the noise subsided. 100% thats where my problem is.

Gotta order the header wrap, im not paying 50.00 at autozone for this gigantic roll when im not using it all. bastards.
