hey there just got a new 00 v6 and im looking to change it up a bit. Heres a list of what i want let me know what you guys think....i know theres a lot of hype about making your car something its not but frankly i dont give a shit i just want a nice looking ride so if your gonna say something about that then just shut up now....

-03 Cobra front and rear bumper from abcexclusive.com (rear is shaved with no letters)
-03 cobra hood from same place
-03 cobra spoiler from same place (without light)
-18" Black Saleen Wheels
-grille delete kit

while leaving the door handles and spoiler black, black gas cap cover and tinted/smoked front and rear lights

its already lowered and has a dual exhaust which im putting a series 44 flowmaster on, gonna start with one and if its not too loud gonna go to 2...

well ill start off by saying that all you just listed isnt gonna happen... i mean if you were gonna spend 5 grand on the car then just get a GT or hell you could pickup a real cobra for what you paid for the car plus those mods you listed.

now with that being said i like your idea for the cobra front and rear w/o the letters because thats what i wanna do and the spoiler is a nice touch. as for the blackout theme here im not a fan of black gas cap and the handles black? rice much?

grille delete for sure! you wanna add chin spoiler to that list

wheels are all personal opinion but i love the saleen wheels especially black.

if your car is already black then leave it black i mean wasting your money on paint is just that a waste of money if you dont need it because you will only be happy until that first scratch

IMO get the bumpers you want and get them color matched black

i love DSG but a paintjob is alot more hassle than its worth.

having a cool lookin car is only cool untill you get walked by a 4cyl honda lmao ( it happens to the best of us ) but i would spend some money on the engine etc. do research on MM and you will get some great advice / ideas.

and WTF lol you said your gonna put 1 flow on.... and then 2 if its not too loud.....

simple exhaust lesson... more mufflers = quieter

unless of course you mean dual exhaust but still its only going to be slightly louder.

and btw if u want a nice sounding muffler go for a delta flow 40 series.

cool thanks for your opinion but a real cobra would cost more than 8Gs im pretty sure and thats all i would have invested into after all said and done, but i got a v6 mainly for insurance and gas purposes, and i didnt know about the exhaust but i do have a dual, so if i got 2 then it would make it quieter?

if your adamant on doing doing this build, i'd try to look for oem bumpers and spoilers first on ebay or cl, now idk if abcexclusive stocks legit parts or not, but usually (in my experience) aftermarket body parts are junk.

I have looked and they are more expensive elsewhere, i have read some forums and someone spoke good of them, but im still researching honestly want to get a good amount of opinions before i do anything of course... also unfortunately i have to get the hood from them as well because it wouldnt fit a OEM hood with the front bumper cuz they say it sits just a bit higher...but thanks for your input

The grille delete won't work with the 03 Cobra bumper, neither will the stock grille.

100% sure. I have an 03/04 Cobra bumper for my car. The horns are designed a little differently. Here's what the grille area looks like.



The 3rd piece and emblem will work (I actually recommend them) but the piece that attaches to the bumper will not work (unless you want to modify it and attach it with 3M double sided tape).

The "3rd piece" is the piece that the emblem attaches to. There are 2 piece grille delete kits, but they require you to cut your existing "3rd piece" to mount the emblem. Also, I say "3rd piece" because I don't remember the proper name for the piece and grille delete kit manufacturers simply call it the "3rd piece."

The piece that won't work is the piece that actually attaches to the bumper. If you want the grille area of the bumper to be black it needs to be painted black or you have to modify the plastic piece to work.
