whining noise...

I thought one of the pumps started to whine when it was about to go out...

well idk I search from where is the sound and Idk but i think is not from the alternator IT came like from the big pulley the one that power the accesories or w/e

mine kinda whines too...mine sounds like i have a turbo..but i most def do not

+1 mine just died last week did the sickly death rattle then she was a goner.... easy as shit to replace tho.

your steering pump will make this noise mine did when i bought the car what i did is i drained the power steering system re filled it with new fluid added a bottle of friction modifier to it as well and no noise ever since.... your talking about the wosh noise when you come to a stop arnt you.

when I run the car or at idle it makes a whining noise the more I accelerate the car the more it does today I went to an alectro mechanic he told me the alternator was running fine he tested it like 3 times and all so i'm guessin it may be a pulley or something.... ohh and I also need a oil change could it be that? cause my oil change was supossed to b 1 month ago but i havent had enougth time to get to a shop.. I will put in pennzoil synthetic in the next oil change...

nah its probably the aternator or the power steering pump.

lol don't encourage ignorance dude lol one of these days some one is going ot do it u know it we both know it lol. but read my previous post my PS pump did that and i fixed it bu changing the fluid and adding a bottle of friction modifier like my mechanic suggested.

I got scared to deat at was at the highway at 70 miles and sudently *kablam* *ratteling noise* *ahhhhhhhh (me scared screaming)* lol j/k but my exhaust broke and felt beacause the union between the headers and exhast broke or w/e id care i alredy fix it...

yes its the alt...same thing happened to me and belive me GET IT FIXED! it jst gets louder and louder the longer u leave it on...my advice...this is what i did...GO TO PEPBOYS get a referbished alt..put it on urself..its a rreally easy thing to put on and ull save about $100 on labor from the pepboys....just dont forget to turn the battery off or ZAPPP..happened to my friend once..IT WAS HALLARIOUS!!!
