Gas Pedal Problem

I drove my mustang for the first time today and the car would take off without me pressing on the gas pedal. Anyone have an idea on what this could be?

Auto and idles at around 750. I just went and tried to put it in gear and it acted like it wanted to take off.

Hmm..It kinda sounds like what I was expirencing but this happened after I did a TB install.
If you didn't install a TB recently or aftermarket one it might be the following.

1.TPS-Throttle Position Sensor- going bad
2.IAC -Idle Air Control-could be sticking

I'm only saying this because this is what I checked first to try and fix my surging problem. When I put my car in Drive it wants to shoot forward...like a big jolt.

You can also check for a vacuum leak.

Well it sound to me that being that you have an automatic, that: whatever the idle RPM is in D when you let off the brake is strong enough to put some turn into the tq converter. Strong enough to turn the wheels if their is not enough resistance.

that's some crazy torque!!

Had a bronco I drove for a while, thing would get up to 25 mph just by letting off the brake... Almost never had to push the gas in town... thing drove itself...
