04 Stock Drive Shaft to 8.8 Rear End (GT)?

Hey guys, if I wanted to swap the rear end on my sixxer, would I have to change the drive shaft also?

Your stock driveshaft will fit just fine.

No you don't have to change the driveshaft, part of the driveshaft that connect to the rear end are 4 bolts that have nothing to do with the splines.

not all 8.8's are 31 spline ... most stock are 28, 31 is a $$$ updgrade

150-200 from a local junkyard, but there are guys on here who have gotten them for under 100 bucks

I got mine 125$ they guy installed the gears, clutch pak, and bearings, and installed it into my car for that. Now I bought that shit for a chunk. Oh and he powder coated it black

Yes, it will bolt up. On the price it depends, if you go to a U-Pull-It yard you can find it for as low as 45 bucks. That's what I paid for mine and hell when I open the girdle to check the gears they were 3.73!

So I try to check one out close to you.
