I NEED A... Radiator flush

I wanna know how to perform a radiator flush on a 2000 cause a stupid mechanic gave my car like 3 gallons of water when the car coolant level was alrigth and in a perfect 50/50 mix.... this asshole made me mad I told him just check the engine cause i had some noise.... when i get home I decided to clean my motor and check all fluids and when I see the coolant level at the hot line while the car is cold I say the reservoir is full of water.....

If it's just the reservoir that has water in it, you can remove it, empty it and refill with 50:50 mix. Test the coolant in the radiator with an antifreeze tester and if it is OK you are done. If not there is a drain plug on the block. If you open that and also open the radiator drain plug you can get most of the coolant out and replace it wit a 50:50 mix. Check it again with an antifreeze tester and if it is still low remove some atifreeze and replace with straight antifreeze to bring it up to the right concentration.

its easy to take off the resivour you just have to unbolt one bolt on the top... just lift it up out of the dealio and unplug the wire... dump the fluids into the toilet... they are biodegradable... so its flushable...

JUST DO IT

i would drain the whole system remove the vent plug on the coolant line by the EGR behind and to the left of the alternator then pull the plug on the rad this will allow the engine block to drain too and then leave the vent plug off and refill the system let the air seep out and then replace the plug on the vent hole buy the egr and alternator or els u will trap air in ur block.

radiator flush 101.
(mind you this is not a coolant system flush. its ONLY the radiator)

step 1:

pull bottom hose and clamp.

step 2:

open radiator cap

step 3:

place garden hose into radiator and turn on water.

step 4: grab a beer and wait 5 mins.

step 5:
turn off hose
let the water finish draining
put bottom hose back on

step 6:

fill radiator with your choice of 50/50
run the motor till warm and add any needed 50/50

step 7: finish your beer

u should really remove the vent plug so when the block drains and refills it wont gather air and dammage the engine.

i'm cheap.

I would just buy 2 40's and call it a day.

a 12 pack is ten bucks
2 40's is only 5 bucks.

you still get ten out of 12 beers for half the price.
i save about 40%

so what do you do disconnect the top hose too and just cap the hoses so the block doesn't drain or what?
