Missing Fuse Cause Pulling on Battery???

Took my car in to a Mom and Pop shop for brake job. Drive car home, check engine light comes on. Notice the battery amp needle is between "o" and "r"...I'm running a/c and radio.

Pop hood, notice battery is 3 yrs old..replaced it. Also notice fuse box cover is on backwards and just resting there..I open it and a max fuse is missing. I printed out diagram have to check which it is..it is the one closest to the quater panel. (maybe someone ill know)...

After the battery change still same problem with amps. Also notice when I put my foot on the gas I get a little hesitation.

I did the alternator test yesterday...removing neg cable when running...car stayed running...

any ideas??

Appreciate it.

another way to test your alternator is to turn on everything electronic, and watch the guage. Also if any of the lights start to dim you have undercharging issues. Start off, by getting a new fuse. I don't know which fuse it is, but get a nother one, and put it in first.

if your alternator fuse is missing cuz the dipshits didn't reinstall it then you have an open short charging circuit thats most likely your issue. replace the fuse as cricket said it will most likely be the culprit of you running on your battery. A ford PCM can function correctly right down to 6 volts after that the Ignition system and pcm have a brain fart and you will stall.

check the tensioner there is a tab on there that will show you if the belt is to worn and the tensioner is in its maximum tension position.
