turbo install on a 3.8 with tru duals


What does it take to do a turbo install on a 3.8 v6 with tru dual exhaust. The turbo is a ihi from a 87 tbird turbocoupe.

Lots of fabrication....and not even worth your time. You will choke that IHI out really easily.
(buddy has a turbo coupe that I'm helping him build)

Wasn't there a person on the forums who was offering to make turbo headers for the sixers? I believe he had reasonable prices too.

Twins or run a y from the down pipe back for a single. I did a single 3" from the downpipe back on my setup.

Thanks for the infos i guess ill have to look for another turbo or swap out some exhaust parts

Custom exhaust usually means alot of fabrication. I would like to keep the duals but if i have to drop to a single or look for another turbo I will do that to make the process less of a headache

Don't know if this will help but I found a website called xs-power that does custom manifolds if anyones intrested. I emailed then to see if ty could do a custom set for the set up I am looking for

do you know what your talking about ?

Turbo has one exhaust port. SO your going to have ONE exhaust tube. TT would give you two exhausts. Two complete different animals though.

Plus its not going to have the same tone at all so it wont matter.

You can y the single T exhaust and still have dual tips
